Portable Radar Ball Coach™ (Model PR1000-BC)

The Ball Coach™ is specifically designed to measure the fastest speed of a ball in flight. Works great for baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball, lacrosse, hockey, and cricket. Easy trigger capabilities eliminate any timing requirements: Simply hold the button down well before the ball is in flight, and release once the speed is displayed. Enter Constant-On Mode to provide automatic triggering without the press of a button. Ball Coach measures from 25 mph to 130 mph and is accurate to within +/- 1 mph (+/- 2 kph), has 120 feet of range on a baseball and 25 deep memory. Includes soft-shell belt holster case, wrist strap, 2 AAA alkaline batteries, illustrated quick start guide and 2 year warranty (optional).

There is no better feeling than standing next to a $1500 Juggs gun and get the same reading or sitting in the crowd listening to some loud mouth parent talk about how their little Johnny is throws 85mph smoke at 12 years old until I show them the reading. The Pocket Radar the Ultimate Equalizer.

Great coaching tool!
I had the chance to purchase this back during the summer to use with my son’s travel team for the fall season. We are a new team based out of Central Arkansas and most of our kids are playing travel ball for the first time. I have to say this is absolutely one of the best baseball purchases I have ever made. It has really given us specific coaching points to use with our pitchers and hitters. It has fostered some real competition with some of our pitchers as well to not only throw strikes but to throw them at velocity. It has also allowed us to have measurable data to help us work with our hitters on increasing their ball exit velocity off the bat with work off the tee. I can’t say enough about how easy this product is to use or just how useful it has been. I would totally recommend this product for any team or for that coach/dad who just wants to work with their son in the back yard. I have had multiple coaches from opposing teams ask me to get speeds on a few of their pitches as well so they could use the data. Great product!

The Ball Coach has everything I need from a radar gun in a wonderfully compact design. I use my Ball Coach for checking pitching speed, catching throwdowns and ball exit speed while training my pitchers and catchers. Aside from training, I love the compact size when using the pocket radar at tournaments and high school games. Many times a pitcher will get a bit nervous if they see me clocking them with a gun, but with the pocket radar they never know. Thanks Pocket Radar!

Baseball Coach
The Ball Coach is a great coaching tool! We use it with our pitchers, our catchers and all of our hitters, as well. It is so accurate and so easy to use that we are able to quickly generate extremely useful data. We have not used radar in the past, but now we can't imagine a practice without it. Our boys lacrosse coach saw how much use we were getting out of it and asked to borrow it for his practice, too!
